What are the different types of lawn fertilizers that we use?

What are the different types of lawn fertilizers that we use here at Bountiful Lawns? To begin with, we use only high quality fertilizers. These fertilizers have been integrated into our program–specifically designed for the Salt Lake and surrounding areas–to give your lawn the nutrients it needs, when it needs them. Here is a sample of the products we might use on your lawn:

April - 19-3-5 fertilizer with sulphur and pre-emergent. This fertilizer helps lower pH and prevent tough summer weeds.

May - 28-4-10 extra slow release fertilizer with iron and humates. This product helps develop root growth and keep nutrients in the root zone.

June - Hydretain™ Moisture Management. This product helps retain water in the soil.

July - Revive™ on struggling areas. This product helps your grass to withstand the heat of the summer. It helps water penetrate hard soil and feeds microbial activity to loosen the soil.

August  - 19-3-5 slow release fertilizer with iron, manganese, and magnesium. This fertilizer contains micronutrients that help prevent fungus.

September - Organic soil enhancer. This product includes compost, humates, and gypsum. It will help to enrich the soil and improve the structure, particularly in areas with low levels of organic matter and excess salt.

October - 12-12-12 fertilizer with organic compost. This fertilizer has compost and a wide range of nutrients to balance the soil.

Here a few other common fertilizers that we use:

Fertilizer with insect prevention.

This fertilizer is coated in a product that prevents turf insects like billbugs.

21-3-7 Fertilizer with humates and wetting agent.

This product helps water enter and remain in the soil.

32-3-8 fertilizer with iron, sulphur, and humates.

This product helps develop root growth, lower soil pH, and retain nutrients and water.
